Hampden Town Center is a 132 unit independent
senior apartment project to be located in southwest Aurora. The project, which will consist of 79
one bedroom and 53 two bedroom units, is currently under construction and will be ready for occupancy late in 2004. The project, which will be
financed utilizing bonds and tax credits, is located adjacent to a future light rail stop and across
the street from an existing Super Wal-Mart. The development will include two separate three level
buildings connected by a single level clubhouse. Amenities will include a community room with a cathedral
ceiling and fireplace, community kitchen, sun room, media area, library, exercise area with provided equipment,
two private dining rooms, two computer rooms with provided computers, two separate game/craft areas,
two manager's offices, a concierge's desk and full beauty salon. Each unit will have an oversized patio
or deck, master bedroom with walk-in closet and oversized kitchen with pantry. Each unit will also have
